About Mrs. Carroll
Education
I graduated from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. After teaching for a couple of years, I decided to work towards a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. While working on my Master’s Degree, I also began taking classes towards Library Media Education. I completed both my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and my Library Media Certification through Ball State University. Just recently, I completed coursework for my Certificate in Teaching English Language Learners through the American College of Education.
Teaching
Throughout my time at Cumberland (WLES), I have had the opportunity to teach Title I Reading (for 1.5 years), first grade (for five years), and be Cumberland’s (WLES) Library Media Specialist (since 2010). Each of these positions has been a wonderful, very rewarding experience!
Life
My husband and I have been married since 2007. We live in West Lafayette and have two daughters. Alexis is a 7th grader at WLJSHS and Audrey is a 5th grader at WLIS! We love spending time as a family; walking, hiking, biking, swinging, playing, and reading! This summer we really started listening to audio books as a family!
